You can help make a difference

We have all lost friends and family to cancer.  You may have had it yourself.  If so, you'll know how tough it is coping with treatment while trying to carry on with the rest of your life.  The big difference now to 10 or even 5 years ago is that more effective, targeted treatments have been developed, and organisations like Macmillan are there to offer support.  The problem is that research and support cost money, which is where you come in.  You really can help make a difference to other peoples' lives.

Every penny counts.  I set a target of £20k in 2016.  Thanks to the generous donations of so many people, I raised a substantial amount towards this (much more than shows on the web as many donations went straight to the charities).  I am hoping that finishing my ride will encourage more people to donate and meet my target (or better still, exceed it!).

The easiest way to sponsor me and my ponies is through Virgin Money Giving, through which your donation will be quickly processed and passed straight to Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.  All the money I raise will be split 50/50 between these two charities.

It matters to me, as I'm sure it does to you, that your money goes to the charities I'm fundraising for rather than into someone else's coffers.  Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation, and takes a much smaller admin fee than most others, which is why I've set up my page through Virgin instead of Just Giving. Virgin Money Giving will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf if you are eligible for this. And just so you know, I pay all my own costs.

If you'd rather give cash or send a cheque, then please give me a ring and I'll give you my address.   I really appreciate your support and thank you for your donation.
